ASHEBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Zoo is celebrating the holiday season with its annual “Jingle in the Jungle” promotion, offering discounted admission from Dec. 16-20. During this limited-time event, general admission tickets will cost just $5 per person.
The discounted tickets must be purchased in person, as online reservations and other discounts will not apply. Visitors can explore the zoo from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the winter hours.
While the Africa parking lot and ticket booths are closed for the season, the entire zoo remains open to visitors entering through the North America ticket booths. The zoo will be closed on Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
Known as the world’s largest natural habitat zoo, the North Carolina Zoo is home to more than 1,700 animals and 52,000 plants. The zoo’s staff also leads conservation efforts locally and globally to protect wildlife and their habitats.
