

ASHEBORO, N.C. — A couple was arrested in the parking lot of the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office satellite location in Archdale on Thursday.
Deputies encountered the vehicle in the parking lot on April 15, 2021. The female driver, Stephanie Kay Shackleford, was yelling and appeared to be impaired.
The passenger, Jason Wayne Moss, was found to have an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on charges of obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor larceny. He was arrested.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located heroin and drug paraphernalia. Both were transported to Randolph County Jail.
Moss was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. He received a $1,000 secured bond for his order for arrest, with a first appearance set for April 16 in Randolph County District Court and a written promise to appear on May 17 for the paraphernalia charge.
Shackleford was charged with felony possession of heroin and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a $2,000 secured bond with a first appearance set for April 16 in Randolph County District Court.
