ASHEBORO, N.C. — A woman has been arrested after police say she attempted to sell narcotics in the parking lot of a local high school.

On April 27, 2022, a School Resource Officer received information that a female was attempting to sell narcotics in the parking lot of Wheatmore High School. Deputies located and identified the woman as Tracy Boone Peele.

An investigation revealed that Peele was in possession of narcotics packaged for sale. She was arrested and transported to the Randolph County Jail, where a magistrate found probable cause for charges of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana and felony sell or deliver a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Peele is being held on a $10,000 secured bond. A first appearance was set for April 28, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
