ASHEBORO, N.C. (ACME NEWS) — Randolph County residents can enjoy admission to the North Carolina Zoo for just $5 from Aug. 5 through Aug. 30 as part of a 50th anniversary celebration.
The discount program, called “Randolph County Days at the Zoo,” allows residents to reserve tickets online and bring up to three guests at the same discounted rate, regardless of where the guests live.
A Randolph County ID is required for the person making the reservation, which must be shown upon arrival.
“This program is our way of giving back to the community and expressing our gratitude for 50 wild years in Randolph County,” said Diane Villa, deputy director and chief communications officer at the North Carolina Zoo.
The discounted admission applies to tickets only. Food, gifts and attraction prices will remain at regular rates.
Reservations are expected to become available in June. Space is limited, and residents are encouraged to check the zoo’s website for updates.
