
ASHEBORO, N.C. — A woman has been arrested and charged with intentionally setting a house fire in Asheboro on Sunday, according to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office.
Laura Nicole Gunter was arrested after an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and the Fire Marshal’s Office determined she intentionally set fire to a home on Staleys Farm Road on Nov. 28, 2021.
Gunter was transported to the Randolph County Jail, where a magistrate found probable cause for a charge of felony fraudulently burning a dwelling.
She is being held on a $2,500 secured bond and appeared in Randolph County District Court on Nov. 29, 2021.
