ASHEBORO N.C. (ACME NEWS) – The Asheboro Police Department has announced an ongoing investigation into a fight that occurred at Lucky’s Burger N Tap in the early hours of January 24, 2022.

The altercation, which took place shortly after 1 a.m., was captured on video and subsequently posted to Facebook. The video, shared almost 20,000 times with over 1,400 comments and reactions, depicts the fight’s beginning, the brawl itself, and the aftermath, showing broken glass, overturned tables, and chairs.

Officers responded to a 911 call from an employee of Lucky’s around 1:50 a.m. Upon arrival, they found no immediate evidence of a disturbance, and no report was filed at that time.

However, the next day, Fernando Guzman Martinez, 24, of Asheboro, filed a report with the police, stating he was assaulted and had personal belongings stolen during the fight. According to the press release, Martinez’s account aligns with the video footage circulating online.

The Asheboro Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is leading the investigation and is requesting that anyone with further information contact Detective Burnette at 336-626-1300, ext. 312.

UPDATE FEB 10, 2021 – 3 P.M.

Today the Asheboro police department announced they have charged seven individuals in connection with the fight at Lucky’s Burger N Tap back on January 23rd, 2022, with an additional individual being charged by N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcment (ALE).

The individuals charged are:

  • Ross Lambert (Robbins, NC) – Simple Assault (2 counts), Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Assault Inflicting Serious Injury (Misdemeanor), Assault on a Female
  • Christopher Michael Teague (Biscoe, NC), Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Assault Inflicting Serious Injury (Misdemeanor), Simple Assault
  • Bryce Daniel Morgan (Robbins, NC) – Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Assault and Battery
  • Dustin Heath Chriscoe (Robbins, NC) – Assault Serious Bodily Injury (Felony), Disorderly Conduct by Fighting
  • Brantley Derrek Morgan (Robbins, NC) – Assault and Battery (2 counts), Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Assault Inflicting Serious Injury (Misdemeanor)
  • Cody Newton Hussey (Robbins, NC) – Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Assault and Battery
  • Joshua Allen Cheek (Asheboro, NC) – Disorderly Conduct by Fighting, Simple Assault (2 counts), Assault on a Female
  • Amanda Paige Allen (Star, NC) – Charged from North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement – Allow Conduct on Licensed Premise, False Report to Police Station
