ASASHEBORO, N.C. (ACME NEWS) — The North Carolina Zoo is offering active duty, reserve, veteran and retired military personnel a special admission discount during Military Appreciation Week, Nov. 7-13, 2022.
The discount is available to military members from all branches and applies only to admission purchased on-site, the Zoo announced.
Military personnel must present valid identification to receive the discount. Accepted forms of ID include a U.S. Veterans ID, military ID, DD-214 with photo ID, state driver’s license with veteran indicator or military identifier, or an ID issued by the VA, VFW or American Legion.
The Zoo will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Military Appreciation Week, with final admission offered one hour before closing.
“We appreciate and salute all military personnel and the sacrifices made,” the Zoo said in a statement. “The North Carolina Zoo thanks you for your service and welcomes you to the Zoo!”
