ASHEBORO, N.C. — Two adults and a juvenile have been charged in connection with an armed robbery at a business in Archdale last month, authorities said.
On March 25, 2022, at approximately 6:28 a.m., Randolph County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Biz Center on U.S. Highway 311 in Archdale.
Surveillance video showed three Black males enter the business. One suspect robbed a customer of money and a cell phone while the other two pointed a gun at an employee, demanding cash and other items. All three then entered the office, with two holding guns pointed at the employee, forcing him to remove all additional cash from gaming machines.
On April 1, 2022, detectives sought warrants for three suspects.
Cortez Dyshawn Monk, 34, of High Point, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of a firearm by a felon, felony larceny of a firearm and felony possession of a stolen firearm. Monk was located by the High Point Police Department on April 13, 2022, and arrested. A magistrate denied bond. He was transferred to Randolph County with a court date set for April 20, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
Johnmaine Lamont Rogers, 18, of High Point, was charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. Rogers turned himself in to the High Point Police Department on April 24, 2022. He is being held on a $75,000 secured bond. A court date was set for June 6, 2022, in Randolph County District Court.
A 17-year-old juvenile from High Point was located on April 4, 2022, and charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and three counts of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.
